Texas Hill Country Fishing
Looking for a relaxing afternoon activity in Texas Hill Country? Add fishing to your next trip to River Inn Resort & Conference Center! Many locals enjoy fly fishing along the Guadalupe River in Kerrville or at Ingram Lake, but we recommend checking out the fishing through the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
Kerr Wildlife Management Area
Owned and operated by the Texas Park and Wildlife Department, this land base develops and manages wildlife populations and habitats while offering public hunting, fishing, and bike trails all within 6,493 acres. A current Texas fishing license is required if you plan to fish outside of the State Park’s waters or if you’re visiting for free fishing day, the first Saturday in June each year. Bag and length limits are in effect in the park system though, so please review prior to fishing.
In Texas Hill Country, fishing is a rewarding experience. From the peaceful riverbanks to boat trips on calm waters, the region offers diverse angling opportunities. Largemouth bass, catfish, and sunfish are popular catches, making it a straightforward yet enjoyable destination for anglers of all levels.
